WAVERLY COUNCIL
Once again Waverley Council has generously assisted Bondi Writers' Group with a cash grant. This year we have received one thousand dollars which will enable us to continue with the public readings and for the first time to sponsor a short story competition. This competition, to be advertised through Writers Voice, will let Australian writers know that Waverley Council supports writers and the arts generally. In addition to the cash grant, Council continues to allow us, free of charge, the use of a meeting room on one Sunday afternoon per month and one evening per month. Without this, our group would be homeless. Bondi Writers are indebted to Waverley Council for the support we receive and we heartily thank the Council.

MARTIN SMITH BOOKSHOP
The bookshop is at Bondi Beach, Australia’s internationally-known and most famous beach, surrounded by great eateries and a wonderful atmosphere.

Although the shop is small in space it is dynamic in its collection. Packed almost to the ceiling with high-quality fiction, art, science, philosophy, biography, history, classics, cuisine, and children’s books as well as a great selection of artistic cards, Martin Smith Bookshop is a mecca for discerning book-lovers.
